Directions
For the "Tortellini alla Panna" recipe, prepare the tortellini according to the instructions on the packet. Always choose fresh products if you can, as this improves the taste considerably.
While the tortellini are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Add the diced prosciutto and fry for about 2-3 minutes until slightly crispy.
Now add the finely diced onion and garlic and fry for a further 2-3 minutes until the onions are translucent. It is important to stir constantly so that nothing burns, as the garlic can quickly turn bitter.
Next, pour the cream into the pan and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat and allow the cream to simmer for about 5 minutes until it has thickened slightly.
Now add the freshly grated Parmesan to the cream mixture and continue stirring until the cheese has completely dissolved. This step is crucial for the particularly creamy taste of the dish.
As soon as the tortellini are cooked, drain them and add them directly to the cream mixture. Now stir everything thoroughly so that the tortellini are well mixed with the sauce.
Season the "Tortellini alla Panna" dish with salt and pepper to taste and finally garnish the pasta dish with some fresh basil before serving.
Enjoy your meal!
