Recipe for a delicious Well done steak that goes well with lunch or dinner.

1. Step

Prepare the meat. It should be at room temperature. The meat should be out for at least an hour before preparation. When the meat is ready, salt it on both sides. Don't worry about over-salting the meat. The thick grainy salted surface will give the meat the right flavour.

2. Step

Heat a frying pan to medium-high heat, preferably a cast iron pan. Add olive oil to the pan. When the pan is hot enough, place the meat in it. You should hear a gentle sizzle.

3. Step

Let the steak fry for about 2 minutes, then flip and let it fry for another 2 minutes. This will give you a nicely cooked surface.

4. Step

Then add the butter and herbs. The butter will give the steak a richer flavour and the herbs will complement the aroma. Sear the steak on both sides, basting it with the melted butter. With this technique, you only need to sear the meat for about 4 minutes on each side.

Remove the steak and let it rest for 5 minutes. The roasted meat will be juicier and softer.
