As a lover of savory pastries, I have found the perfect recipe for a delicious and impressive appetizer. Every time I prepare them, these puff pastries are an absolute hit with my guests. Their filling of fresh vegetables and aromatic cheese can be varied depending on the season and taste.

1. Step

To bake the puff pastry, first cut the peppers and zucchinis into small cubes and divide the broccoli into small florets. In my experience, this mixture is the ideal size for the pastry.

2. Step

Cut the feta into cubes and add to the puff pastry together with the vegetables. Then season the puff pastry with salt, pepper and oregano to taste.

3. Step

Now divide the puff pastry into squares measuring approx. 10 x 10 cm. I have found that this size works well for filling and folding.

4. Step

Place a teaspoon of the vegetable mixture on each square, fold over and press down firmly at the edges.

Spread the beaten egg over the dumplings. This gives them a beautiful golden brown color when baked.

6. Step

Bake the puff pastry pockets at 180 degrees for approx. 15-20 minutes until they have risen nicely and are golden brown. Keep an eye on them, as every oven is slightly different.
