Roast chicken on honey
Recipe for honey roasted chicken that is juicy, soft and slightly sweet thanks to dates and honey.
Ingredients

Start by rinsing and patting the chicken dry. Then salt and pepper the chicken and let it rest. While the chicken is resting, preheat the oven to 190 degrees.
Mix honey, olive oil, lemon juice and chopped garlic in a bowl. Spread the marinade over the chicken. Remember that the longer you leave the chicken in the marinade, the better the flavours will combine.
Place the chicken in a baking dish and sprinkle it with chopped onions and dates. Add the white wine and add water if necessary. I recommend having about 2 cm of water in the roasting pan to prevent the chicken from burning.
Bake the chicken for about an hour and a half until it is a beautiful golden brown. During baking, baste the chicken occasionally with the juices from the roasting pan, this enhances the flavour and prevents it from drying out.
When the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. This will help the chicken retain its juices and taste better.
