Rich Moist Chocolate Ground Almond Cake

Ingredients
- 200 gms of unsweetened chocolate
- 200 gms of sugar
- 200 gms of butter
- 200 gms of ground almonds
- 5 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- Powdered sugar for dusting

Directions
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and line a cake pan with a parchment paper.
Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or in the microwave. Let it cool slightly.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until it’s light and fluffy.
Gradually pour the melted chocolate into the egg mixture whilst continuously whisking.
Add the vanilla essence and ground almonds to the mixture and mix until well incorporated.
Pour this mixture in the prepared cake pan and smoothen the top with a spaticle.
Bake for about 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Remove from oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
Transfer to a wire rack and let it cool completely. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
