Quick marzipan potatoes only 4 ingredients

Marzipan potatoes are an absolute treat, especially at Christmas time, and have always had a special place in our family. This sweet dessert, often underestimated as a snack, brings back childhood memories. Years later, I still prepare this recipe with enthusiasm and love. The wonderful thing about marzipan potatoes is that they not only taste delicious, but are also easy to make!

Directions

1. Step

To prepare marzipan potatoes, crumble the marzipan mixture and knead it well until it is smooth - it is important to knead it well so that it is easier to shape later.

2. Step

Add the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar to the marzipan mixture and continue kneading until everything is well mixed - this may take a while, but it is important that the sugar is well distributed.

3. Step

Now shape the sweet mixture into small 'potatoes'. The best way to do this is to take small pieces and roll them in your hands. They should be roughly the size and shape of real small potatoes.

4. Step

Put the cocoa powder in a small bowl. Here's a tip for you: sieve the cocoa powder first to get it lump-free!

5. Step

Now roll each 'potato' in the cocoa. This should completely cover the marzipan potato, giving them the typical brown 'potato look'.

6. Step

Leave the marzipan potatoes to rest in the fridge for a few hours, preferably overnight. This will allow them to harden a little more and make them perfect for snacking.
