Pasta with tomato-cream sauce
Pasta with tomato-cream sauce is my favorite. The preparation is very simple.
Ingredients
- 400 g pasta
- 4 pcs tomatoes
- 2 pcs The Onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 200 ml cooking cream
- olive oil
- Salt, freshly ground black pepper
- Herbs to taste (basil, oregano)
- Grated cheese for serving

Clean and finely chop the onion and garlic. Drain the tomatoes and chop into cubes. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan. Add the onions and garlic and sauté until soft.
Add the chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper and herbs and let them simmer for about 15 minutes. The tomatoes should soften completely and form a uniform base for the sauce with the onions.
In the meantime, cook the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions. I tend to cook the pasta for a minute less than the package says so that it is al dente.
Add the cooking cream to the tomato mixture and stir. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little water from cooking the pasta.
Mix the cooked pasta with the sauce and let it simmer for a while to combine the flavours. Sprinkle with grated cheese before serving.
