Old-Fashioned Jam Drop Butter Cookies Recipe
These buttery and crumbly cookies are filled with a sweet jam of your choice, making them perfect for a delightful tea-time treat or as a lovely addition to a cookie platter.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 Cup unsalted softened butter
- 0.3 Cup crystal sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1⁄4 Cup your favorite jam

Directions
Preheat your 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugar using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla extract and mix.
Gradually add the flour to the mixture, mixing on low speed until a dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.
Roll tablespoons of the batter into balls and put on the baking sheet, leaving room in between. With a teaspoon, make an indent in the center of each cookie. Put a small amount (about 1/2 teaspoon) of jam in.
Bake for approximately 15 minutes.
Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, serve Drops!
