- 1 quart Vegetable oil for frying
- 1 Cup corn meal
- 1 Cup whole-wheat flour
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 large Egg
- 11⁄4 cups buttermilk
- 2 tablespoon tablespoons butter melted
- 8 hot dogs
- Popsicle or craft sticks

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
