Directions
In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for 1 minute until aromatic.
Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until it is brown and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
In the same skillet add sliced onions and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they become crisp-tender.
Add the sliced carrots and broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes. Make sure to retain the vegetables' crunchiness.
Return the cooked beef to the skillet and toss everything together.
In a small bowl, mix sesame oil, beef broth (or water), salt, and black pepper. Pour the mixture into the skillet and stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables evenly.
Remove from heat and transfer the stir-fried beef to a serving platter.
Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
