Ingredients
- 450 g mixed dried fruit
- 50 g glace cherries
- 50 g almond
- 175 g plain flour
- 3 spoon cinnamon
- 2 spoon ground mixed spice
- 1⁄2 spoon ground ginger
- 1⁄2 spoon ground nutmeg
- 1⁄2 spoon ground cloves
- 150 g butter
- 150 g light brown sugar
- 2 egg
- 5 g black treacle
- Marzipan and sugar paste to decorate

In a mixing bowl place in the butter, black treacle and sugar. Beat together until combined.

Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well in between each addition.

Add in the plain flour, ground spices, almonds, dried fruit and glace cherries. Fold everything together until the mixture is clear.

Place the mixture in the cupcake cases and fill them almost up to the top. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes in a preheated oven at 150°C. Then, allow it to cool down fully.

Roll out some marzipan and sugar paste to the same thickness and join them together with a little apricot glaze.
