How to cook Simple Garlic Butter Prawns
Garlic prawns are a classic seafood dish that is bursting with flavor. The succulent prawns are cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce that will leave you craving for more. This recipe is quick and easy to make, perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients
- 500 g fresh prawns, peeled and deveined
- 4 tbls butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbls parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional for added spice)
- salt to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving

In a large frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the peeled and deveined prawns to the pan, stirring them in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the prawns turn pink and opaque.
Sprinkle the paprika, red chili flakes (if using), and salt over the prawns. Stir well to evenly coat the prawns with the spices and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
Remove the pan from heat and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the prawns. Toss to combine.
Transfer the garlic prawns to a serving dish and garnish with lemon wedges.
Serve garlic prawns hot with rice or crusty bread.
