Homemade Potato Bread
This recipe for potato bread is simple and easy to prepare at home.
Ingredients
- 500 g special fine flour
- 2 pcs Potatoes
- 1 pcs dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 250 ml Warm water

Directions
Boil the potatoes in salted water. When they are done, drain the water and mash the potatoes. Let it cool down.
In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Then add the oil, cooled mashed potatoes, and warm water. Stir the mixture until it is smooth and elastic.
Often we let it ferment in a warm place under a towel for two hours, or until it doubles in volume.
We often then place it on a board sprinkled with flour and shape the bread. We put it on a baking tray lined with baking paper. We can sprinkle it with sesame seeds or flakes and gently score it with a knife on top.
Bake at 180 °C for 40-50 minutes. The bread should be golden brown and you should hear a hollow sound when you tap on it.
After baking, we let the bread cool on the rack.
