- 150 g sugar

Cut the central part of the pears into thin strips.
Combine the water and sugar and bring to a boil until the sugar has dissolved.
Boil a small number of pears in the syrup until translucent, the time depends on the variety and varies from 4 to 8 minutes. Boil in small portions for best results.
Place the pears in a colander to remove any excess syrup.
Arrange the pieces on baking paper.
Dry in the oven at 80°C for about 2 hours. Turn them over several times during the drying process.
Store in a closed container for up to 1 month with pieces of baking paper between the plates.
