Hearty western pan with chicken and bacon

The "Western pan" is a frequent favorite at home, especially at weekends when we have a little more time to cook. The mix of juicy meat, crunchy vegetables and tangy spices is wonderfully rounded off with the taste of the BBQ sauce. The combination has totally won us over every time and I always look forward to preparing this pan.

Directions

1. Step

For the "Western skillet" recipe, first cut the chicken and bacon into bite-sized pieces. A little tip: the meat is easier to cut if it is slightly frozen.

2. Step

Once the meat is prepared, name a large frying pan and heat some olive oil in it. Fry the meat and bacon over a medium heat until well browned.

3. Step

While the meat is roasting, prepare the rest of the vegetables. Finely chop the onions and garlic and cut the peppers into small cubes.

4. Step

When the meat is well browned, add the chopped vegetables, corn and beans to the pan. It is important to mix everything well and fry evenly.

5. Step

Now it's time to add the potatoes. These should be boiled beforehand and cut into cubes. When adding the potatoes, make sure you stir everything well.

6. Step

Finally, add the BBQ sauce and spices and leave to simmer over a low heat. This allows the dish to absorb the seasoning and special BBQ flavor particularly well.

7. Step

Serve the hearty "Western pan" hot and with a fresh salad. Enjoy your meal!
