Healthy Ground Turkey Bolognese Sauce Pasta
This Turkey Bolognese recipe offers a healthier version of the classic Italian dish. Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 carrots, finely chopped
- 2 Stems celery, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 kg ground turkey
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 1⁄4 Cup tomato paste
- 1⁄4 Cup red wine
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- salt and black pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish
- Pasta, for serving

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add the onions, carrots, and celery, sauté until the veggies are softened, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the minced garlic and cook for a further 1 minute.
Add the ground turkey. Break up the meat with a spoon and cook until browned.
Stir in the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine, basil, oregano, and season with salt and pepper.
Reduce heat to low, partially cover with the lid, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes until the sauce is thickened and flavorful.
Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Serve the turkey Bolognese over your favorite pasta and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
