This traditional gingerbread icing recipe gives the ultimate, shiny finish to your Christmas gingerbreads. Preparation is simple, and the taste is wonderfully sweet, perfectly complementing the spicy gingerbreads.

- 200 g confectionery sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Gradually add the powdered sugar while continuing to beat the egg whites to incorporate well.
Finally, stir in the lemon juice.

For decorating gingerbreads, use smaller decoration tubes, or fill the icing into a piping bag, and use it.
