Easy Breakfast Kedgeree
Kedgeree is a traditional British dish made with rice, fish, roots to bring back spices from cooking techniques from the country. This dish is perfect for breakfast or brunch, and it can also be served as a main course for lunch or dinner.

- 1 Cup of basmati rice
- 2 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1 onion
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of curry powder
- 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 2 cups of smoked haddock
- 4 hardboiled eggs
- salt and pepper
- Fresh cilantro, chopped for garnish

1. Step
Rinse the rice thoroughly and soak for at least 30 minutes in cold water.
2. Step
In a pot, bring to a boil and add the rice. Reduce the heat to low and cover. Cook for 15-20 minutes until the rice is fluffy.
3. Step
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and spices and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add haddock and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add cooked rice, chopped eggs, salt, and pepper. Stir and serve hot.
