Delicious spaghetti aglio e olio with prawns
This recipe is something very special and comes from my time in Italy. If you love prawns and the delicious combination of garlic and olive oil, you will love this recipe for pasta aglio e olio with prawns!
Ingredients
- 400 g spaghetti
- 2 Tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 400 g Shrimps
- salt and black pepper to taste
- Freshly chopped parsley to garnish
- Fresh lemon juice to garnish
- Parmesan cheese to serve

Directions
Cook the spaghetti in a large pan of salted water according to the instructions on the packet until al dente.
While the spaghetti is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over a medium-high heat. Peel the garlic and crush the garlic cloves. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the crushed garlic for one minute. Make sure that the garlic does not burn. The garlic should be golden in color, not brown. Add the prawns and season the mixture with salt and pepper. Fry the prawns until they are completely pink, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan with the prawns and mix well.
Drizzle the spaghetti and prawns with fresh lemon juice and garnish with freshly chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
