Crispy Seasoned & Smoked Chicken Drumsticks
This easy-to-make Smoked Chicken Drumsticks recipe captures a wonderful combination of smoky, spicy, and sweet flavors. Perfect for a family barbecue, this dish will leave everyone satisfied with its juicy and succulent chicken, making it a perfect comfort food!
Ingredients
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tbls of garlic powder
- 2 tbls of onion powder
- 2 tbls of paprika
- 1 tablespoon of ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- A handful of Hickory Chips for smoking

Directions
Start by rinsing the chicken drumsticks and pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
In a mixing bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, salt, and brown sugar. This will be your dry rub.
Rub the drumsticks with olive oil, then coat them evenly with the dry spice mixture. Let it sit for about an hour.
Preheat your smoker to 225 degrees Fahrenheit (107 degrees Celsius). Add the hickory chips for extra smoky flavor.
Place the drumsticks in the smoker and let them cook for about 1 hour. Make sure to turn them every 20 minutes for even cooking.
Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer. The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius).
Remove the drumsticks from the smoker and let them rest for about 10 minutes before serving.
