Christmas bun slice
I love the Christmas season, and with it come the smells and tastes that traditionally characterise this time of year. One of my favourites is Christmas rolls, which for me, when made, start the Christmas season.
Ingredients
- 500 g self-rising flour
- 3 pc egg
- 200 g confectionery sugar
- 1 package baking powder
- 2 tablespoon cocoa
- 200 g ground nuts
- 200 g peach compote
- 200 g dark chocolate

Directions
Preparation: sift the flour into a large bowl and add all the ingredients except the peach jam and chocolate. Chop the chocolate into small cubes. The dough will be a little sticky, which is normal, it's the only way to make it really tasty.
Baking: divide the dough into three equal parts and roll out thinly. Place the sheets on top of each other, spreading the peach jam between them. When the three layers are assembled, place the whole thing in a preheated oven at 180 °C for at least half an hour.
To serve: when ready, let cool, then melt the dark chocolate and coat the top. Cut into squares.
