Chocolate salami dessert without baking
I made this chocolate salami for the first time a few years ago and since then it has become one of my favorite desserts. Not only does it have a unique taste and look, it is also easy to prepare and perfect as a small sweet snack or with coffee.
Ingredients
- 200 g bittersweet chocolate
- 100 g butter
- 100 g sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 200 g Cookies (e.g. butter cookies or amarettini)
- confectionery sugar
- Optional: chopped nuts or dried fruit

Directions
To make the chocolate salami recipe, first melt the chocolate with the butter in a bain-marie. It is important that the water does not splash onto the chocolate, otherwise it will become lumpy. The chocolate should also not get too hot, otherwise it will lose its shine.
While the chocolate is melting, you can crumble the cookies in a bag. I recommend leaving different sizes of crumbs to give the salami a nice texture.
In another bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs until smooth.
Slowly stir the melted chocolate into the sugar and egg mixture.
Now add the crushed cookies (and optionally nuts or dried fruit) to the chocolate mixture and stir well until everything is evenly distributed.
Then shape the mixture into a roll and wrap it in cling film. Press down firmly to create the typical salami shape. Leave to set in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Before serving, sprinkle the chocolate salami with powdered sugar to imitate the appearance of salami.
Have fun trying out and enjoying!
