Candied pumpkin with oranges
Delicious dessert in the form of candied pumpkin with orange juice.
Ingredients
- 1 kg diced pumpkin
- 1⁄2 kg Cane sugar
- 1 tablespoon citric acid
- 3 tablespoon Orange juice or orange juice

Directions
Remove the soft parts of the pumpkin and cut it into 1 cm diameter cubes.
Cover them with water and dissolved acid and soak them ideally overnight. In the morning, drain the water, add the sugar and orange juice, stir and let stand again for a few hours.
Then heat them to boiling point and let them cook over low heat - the pumpkin must not boil.
When the pumpkin is glossy, strain it through a sieve and let it drain.
Transfer to a baking tray lined with baking paper and dry in a hot open oven at about 50 °C until the cubes peel off the paper and stick together.
