Beef Roulades
The beef roulades are a popular classic of German cuisine. This recipe takes this classic to a new level. You will love it!
Ingredients

- 6 Pieces Beef Roulades
- 3 tbsp mustard
- 2 TL salt
- 2 TL pepper
- 6 Slices bacon
- 3 medium size Onions
- 15 Pieces sour pickles
Sauce
- 750 ml beef broth
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 TL paprika
- 125 ml red wine
- 125 ml cream
- 2 tbsp flour
- 50 g butter

Directions
Prepare the beef roulades. Wash them and pat them dry. Spread mustard on each roulade and season them with salt and pepper.
Top each roulade with a slice of bacon. Cut the onions into thin rings and the pickles into strips. Distribute the onion rings and pickle strips over the roulades.
Roll up the roulades and secure them with kitchen twine or roulade needles.
Fry the roulades in a pot with hot oil all around. Take them out of the pot and set them aside.
In the same pot, sauté the remaining onions. Add tomato paste and bell peppers and deglaze everything with red wine and beef broth.
Put the roulades back in the pot and let everything simmer for about 1.5 hours.
Remove the roulades from the pot. Mix flour with some water and use it to thicken the sauce. Let it boil again and stir in the cream. Season the sauce with salt and pepper and add the butter until it has melted.
Return the roulades to the sauce and let everything boil briefly once again. Your delicious beef roulades are ready. Enjoy your meal!
