Basic Sponge Cake for a Torta
Recipe for a basic sponge cake, perfect for a torta.
Ingredients
- 6 Pieces large eggs
- 200 grams crystal sugar
- 200 grams special fine flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line the cake tin with baking paper.
Separate the eggs. Beat the yolks with sugar until frothy.
Whip the white until stiff.
Mix the flour mixed with baking powder into the egg yolk mixture.
Then carefully fold in the egg whites.
Often pour into the mold and bake for about 35 minutes.
You can cut and fill the cooled dough according to your preferences.
