Directions

15 min.
1. Step

To prepare the brownies gift in a jar, start by carefully cleaning and drying the jar. It is important that the jar is completely dry to ensure that the mixture will keep.

2. Step

First, pour the sugar into the jar. Pack it down a little to make room for the rest of the ingredients. I like to use a spoon for this.

3. Step

Sieve the flour and then spread it over the sugar. Sifting ensures that the flour is fine and mixes well with the other dry ingredients later.

4. Step

Add the cocoa powder. It is important to use a high-quality cocoa powder, as this contributes to the intense chocolate taste of the brownies.

5. Step

Next, add the pinch of salt and the chocolate chips. The salt gives the brownies a slight tang and the chocolate melts during baking and provides extra chocolateiness.

6. Step

If you like, you can add chopped nuts at the end. The nuts provide an extra crunch in the otherwise soft brownies.

7. Step

Close the jar tightly and store it in a dark, cool place. You can give the jar as a gift with a pretty label and a bow.

8. Step

To prepare the brownies, you will also need 150 g softened butter and 3 large eggs. Simply mix the ingredients with the contents of the jar and bake in a greased tin at 180 degrees Celsius for approx. 25 minutes.
