Authentic Traditional Indian Chicken Masala Recipe
Chicken Masala Recipe is an authentic and traditional Indian recipe, that's famously known for its robust flavours. Prepared using chicken, masala and a melange of Indian spices, this recipe is an absolute treat for your taste buds.
Ingredients
- 500 gms of chicken
- 2 finely chopped onions
- 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
- 1 chopped tomato
- 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon of red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon of garam masala powder
- salt to taste
- 2 tbls of vegetable oil
- Freshly chopped coriander leaves for garnish

Directions
Firstly, heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add the ginger-garlic paste to the pan and sauté it until the raw smell evaporates.
Now, add chopped tomatoes into the pan and cook until it becomes soft.
Then add all the dry spice powders including cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and red chili powder. Mix well and cook for a minute.
Now, add the chicken pieces into the pan and mix well so that the chicken gets well coated with the spices.
Cover the pan and let it cook for about 20-25 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Once the chicken is cooked, add garam masala powder and salt to taste. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Your delicious Chicken Masala is now ready to be served! Enjoy it with rice or naan.
