Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Remove any excess fat.
Add the diced onion, carrots, and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Continue cooking for about 5 minutes or until the vegetables have softened.
Stir the frozen peas, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and flour. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.
5.Transfer the meat and vegetable mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
Spread the mashed potatoes the top of the meat mixture, ensuring it covers the entire surface. Use a fork to create small peaks on the mashed potatoes.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar over the mashed potatoes, evenly covering the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the top is golden brown.
Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
