  • 12 Cup of chicken broth Added to
  • 0.3 Cup of brown sugar Added to
  • 14 Cup of spring onions, chopped Added to

  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with two tablespoons of water Added to

1. Step

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

2. Step

Add the chicken pieces, and sauté until browned. Remove the chicken from the pan and set it aside.

3. Step

In the same pan, add the minced garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.

4. Step

Pour in the soy sauce, chicken broth, and brown sugar. Stir until the sugar has dissolved.

5. Step

Put the seared chicken back into the pan and let it simmer in the sauce for about 20 minutes, or until fully cooked.

6. Step

Stir in the cornstarch-water mixture to thicken the sauce. Continue to simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

7. Step

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

8. Step

Garnish with chopped spring onions before serving.
