Apple sponge cake
Apple sponge cake is one of our favourite cookies in the family. I'm flooded with memories of loving apple sponge cake baked by my grandmother as a child. The perfect pairing of soft sponge cake and apple layer is sure to please everyone. The recipe is simple, so feel free to give it a try!
Ingredients
- 4 pc Big apple
- 2 pc egg
- 200 g sugar
- 1 package vanilla sugar
- 200 g flour
- 1 package baking powder
- 1⁄2 lemon Leve
- 4 tablespoon oil
- Shamrock icing sugar on top

Directions
First, preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Wash the apples, grate them and mix them with the lemon juice in a bowl to prevent them from browning. I recommend that you wash the apples very thoroughly, as you will grate the skin off the apples.
In another bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the eggs one at a time to make the mixture easier to work.
Then add the flour and baking powder, and finally the oil. The dough should not be too thick, so add a little water if necessary.
Grease and grease a baking pan, then press the dough into it. Spread the apples on top. It is important that the pastry covers the apple well so that it does not burn in the oven.
Place the pan in the oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is a nice golden brown. Be careful not to burn, so you may want to adjust the baking time in each oven.
Finally, when cool, sprinkle with icing sugar.
