Simple EVOO Olive Oil Sauce

  • 4 cloves of finely minced garlic Added to
  • 1 teaspoon of red chili flakes Added to

  • A handful of finely chopped fresh parsley Added to
  • Finely grated zest of one lemon Added to

1. Step

Start by heating up the EVOO in a saucepan over low heat.

2. Step

Once the oil is warm, add in the finely minced garlic and let it simmer gently without letting it brown, for about 2-3 minutes.

Add the red chili flakes into the pan and continue to simmer gently for another 2-3 minutes.

4. Step

Season the sauce with salt to taste, stirring well to dissolve the salt.

5. Step

Remove the sauce from heat and stir in the fresh parsley and lemon zest, ensuring they are well distributed throughout the sauce.

6. Step

Let the EVOO sauce cool a bit before serving as it tends to be very hot right off the stove. The sauce can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated for up to one week.
