Directions
For the robber's pot recipe, first peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Then peel the carrots and potatoes and cut into bite-sized pieces. Make sure that all the pieces are roughly the same size so that they cook evenly.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan. Then add the minced beef and fry it until it is brown and crumbly. I recommend not frying the mince too much, but keeping it nice and juicy.
Add the chopped onion and garlic to the meat in the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes until soft. Be careful not to burn the garlic, otherwise it may become bitter.
Now add the tomato purée, paprika powder, salt and pepper and stir well. Then add the potatoes and carrots to the pan and stir everything well.
Finally, add the beef stock and bring to the boil. Then reduce the heat and cover the pan. Leave the stew to simmer for about 1 hour until the vegetables are soft and the flavors have blended well.
And there you have it - a hearty, delicious robber's stew that is perfect for a family dinner or a cozy weekend at home by the open fire in the garden. Enjoy your meal!
