Directions
To prepare baked apple liqueur, wash the apples thoroughly, cut them into quarters and remove the core. A peel is no problem, it stays on and gives the liqueur its beautiful color. Tip: Use a sharp knife to cut the apples easily.
Place the apple pieces in a large preserving jar and add the sugar.
Slice the vanilla pods lengthwise with a sharp knife and scrape out the seeds. Add it to the apples together with the scraped-out pods, the cinnamon sticks and the cloves.
Now add the vodka and rum. Tip: It's worth investing in good quality here, you can taste it in the end.
Close the jar and shake vigorously until the sugar has dissolved. Then place the jar in a warm place.
Shake the jar several times a day for the first few days until the sugar has completely dissolved.
After about a week (the longer, the more intense the taste), the baked apple liqueur should be ready. Strain it through a fine cloth and pour it into sterilized bottles.
