Pea puree with cream

Pea puree with cream is my favourite accompaniment to meat. I love its delicate consistency and the slightly sweet taste that plain peas have in them. The preparation is not difficult at all and with the cream, the peas take on a whole new dimension.

Directions

30 min.
1. Step

Place the peas in a saucepan and add enough water to cover the peas. Simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes, when the peas should be tender. My recommendation is to let the peas cook a little longer rather than letting them get hard.

2. Step

Drain the peas after cooking and put them back into the pot. Add the cream, salt and pepper. Using an immersion blender, puree until smooth. ň

3. Step

Serve the puree warm.
