Light & Fluffy Basic Lemonade Scone Recipe

Ingredients
- 21⁄2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄4 Cup white sugar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 Cup butter, and cubed
- 3⁄4 Cup lemonade
- 1⁄4 Cup milk
- Zest of one lemon

Directions
Preheat oven and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, mix the self-rising flour, baking powder and sugar.
Add butter cubes to the dry ingredients. Using your fingertips or a pastry cutter, cut the butter into the flour.
Make a well in the middle of the mixture. Pour in the lemonade, milk, and lemon zest. Mix gently until just combined.
Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough gently a few times until it comes together.
Roll out the dough. Cut out scones. Place onto prepared baking sheet, leaving a small space between each scone.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes. Transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve warm at room temperature with your favorite ice cream.
