Italian apple pie
The perfect recipe for the original Italian apple pie.
Ingredients
- 125 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 3 pcs Eggs
- 250 g Plain flour
- 1 pcs baking powder
- 1 pcs lemon
- 3 pcs apples
- confectionery sugar
- cinnamon

Directions
Start by preheating the oven to 180 degrees. We personally have an oven at home that heats up quickly, so I always preheat it after I've mixed the dough.
Mix the butter, which has been thoroughly melted, with the sugar. Then add the eggs and beat everything thoroughly.
Stir in the plain flour mixed with baking powder and cinnamon. Peel and grate the lemon into the mixture. Mix everything well again.
Peel and grate the apples and add them to the dough. My tip: If you want the apples in the pie to be more tender, you can saute them in butter first.
Pour the batter onto a greased baking sheet and bake for about 1 hour.
Sprinkle the finished cake with icing sugar.
