Directions
The first step is to prepare the fresh mangoes. Choose ripe and sweet mangoes for the best flavor. After peeling, chop your mangoes into manageable pieces.
Add the chopped mangoes into the blender. Mangoes can be pretty fibrous, so blending them alone initially helps to ensure you get a smooth consistency.
Add sugar to the blender as per your taste. Although ripe mangoes tend to be sweet enough, you can add some sugar if you prefer it sweeter.
Add in the cold milk, vanilla ice cream, cardamom powder, and ice cubes if using. The ice cream not only makes the shake creamier, but also helps to cool it down. Using cold milk also keeps the shake refreshing.
Blend everything together until you get a smooth consistency. Be careful not to over blend as you might end up with a thinner milkshake.
Pour the milkshake into glasses and if you’d like, garnish with a dollop of whipped cream and some chopped mangoes.
Serve immediately. Mango milkshake tastes best when served fresh and cold.
