How to make Easy Healthy Oat Slice
This healthy oat slice is a simple, nutritious, and delicious quick bake that is perfect for breakfast and snacks. It’s packed with oats, whole meal flour, and sweetened with honey, making it a healthier alternative to store-bought slices. This home-made oat slice is not only filling but also a great source of fiber.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of rolled oats
- 1 Cup of wholemeal flour
- 1⁄2 Cup of Honey or Maple Syrup
- 1⁄2 Cup of Coconut oil or unsalted butter
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1⁄2 Cup of Dried fruit or nuts (Optional)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of Cinnamon (Optional)
- 1⁄4 teaspoon of salt

Directions
Preheat your oven to 180°C/350°F. Grease a 20cm x 30cm baking tin and line with baking parchment.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats and wholemeal flour.
In a separate bowl, mix the mashed bananas, honey or maple syrup, and melted coconut oil or butter.
Pour the wet banana mixture into the oat and flour mixture, stirring well to make sure all the oats are coated.
If using, stir in the dried fruit or nuts and cinnamon.
Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking tin.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and firm to touch.
Allow to cool in the tin before slicing into squares or bars.
Once cooled, store the healthy oat slices in airtight containers to enjoy throughout the week.
