Homemade Fresh Strawberry Buttercream Frosting

Ingredients
- 1 Cup fresh strawberries, rinsed hulled and cut into chunks
- 1 Cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 4 cups confectionery sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- pinch of salt

Directions
Place strawberries in a small food processor or blender and process until completely pureed.
In a large bowl, beat the butter until it's light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Gradually add in the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Slowly pour in the strawberry puree and the vanilla extract while continuing to mix.
Add the pinch of salt and continue to beat the mixture for an additional 2-3 minutes, until it's well combined and has a light, creamy consistency.
