Homemade bread with yeast
This recipe is a real treasure that I have used for years. I've always wanted to learn to make my own bread and since finding this recipe, I won't eat anything else. The smell and taste of fresh, home baked bread is unmatched.
Ingredients
- 500 g Wheat flour
- 1 cup lukewarm water
- 2 teaspoon dried yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt

Directions
In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. In another small bowl, mix the water and yeast until the yeast is dissolved. Then pour the water and yeast into the flour.
Knead the ingredients together until you have a smooth dough. This takes about 10 minutes.
Cover a tray with the dough, then cover and leave to rise for 1-2 hours, until the dough has doubled in size.
Once the dough has risen, bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Let the bread cool completely after baking.
