Green beans with bacon

It's a classic Czech delicacy that is great for the main meal and as an accompaniment to meat.

1. Step

First, clean the beans and cut off the ends. Then boil them in a pot of boiling salted water for about 10 minutes until soft. Then drain them and set them aside.

2. Step

Cut the bacon into thin strips and finely chop the onion. Peel and crush the garlic. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the onion, then add the bacon and fry until crispy.

3. Step

Add the crushed garlic and fry for another minute. Then add the beans, salt and pepper and mix everything thoroughly. Leave the beans in the pan for about 5 minutes to warm up and absorb the flavour of the bacon and onion.
