Dissolve the espresso powder or let the strong brewed coffee cool.

2. Step

Beat the butter on medium speed using an electric mixer until it becomes smooth and creamy (about 2 minutes).

3. Step

Lower the mixer's speed and gradually add the icing sugar. Mix until all the sugar and butter are completely blended.

4. Step

Take the espresso or cooled coffee, vanilla extract, and cream, then pour this mixture into the buttercream slowly while continuing to mix.

Once all has been added, increase the mixing speed and beat the mixture until it becomes light and fluffy (for about 3-5 minutes). If the buttercream is too thick, add a touch more cream. If it’s too thin, add a little more icing sugar.

Add a pinch of salt or to taste for balancing the sweetness and mix it well.

7. Step

The Coffee Buttercream is now ready to be used for frosting cakes, cupcakes, or whatever you desire!
