Elderberry syrup with lemon
Recipe for homemade elderflower syrup with lemon, which tastes delicious.
Ingredients
- 40 Flowers Base
- 11⁄2 kg sugar
- 2 l Waters
- 2 a piece Organic lemons
- 50 g citric acid

Pick elderflowers on a dry, sunny day, ideally in the morning when they are most aromatic.
Clean the petals from the flower, place in a large container and cover with boiling water.
Add the sliced lemons and leave to infuse for 24 hours.
The next day, pour the elderflower liquor through a cloth or a thick sieve.
Add the sugar to the elderflower water, boil until completely dissolved and then add the citric acid.
Set the finished syrup aside, let it cool down a little and then hot fill it into the prepared bottles. 7. Close and set the bottles upside down.
