Easy Homemade Caramilk Ice Cream

Ingredients
- 1 Cup of Caramilk (or any caramel milk chocolate bar), chopped
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 Cup of full-cream milk
- 3⁄4 Cup of sugar
- 5 large egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of sea salt

Directions
In a medium saucepan, combine the cream, milk, and 1/2 cup of sugar. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks and remaining sugar until well combined.
Gradually whisk in the heated cream mixture into the egg yolks. Return the mixture to the saucepan and stir continuously over low heat until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
Chop the Caramilk bars and melt them in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Stir until smooth.
Gradually pour the melted Caramilk into the custard mixture. Add the vanilla extract and sea salt. Stir until well combined.
Pour the mixture through a sieve into a clean bowl, removing any lumps. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.
Transfer the ice cream to a lidded container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
