Easy Dipped Chocolate Chip Pretzels
These Chocolate Pretzels are easy to make, yet absolutely delicious. They make a perfect sweet and salty treat for any occasion. Coated with melted chocolate and sprinkled with your desired toppings, they look pretty and taste even better. Perfect for parties, holidays, or just a casual movie night.
Ingredients
- 24 large pretzel rods
- 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon of shortening
- 1⁄2 Cup of white chocolate chips (optional)
- Assorted toppings for sprinkling – crushed nuts, sprinkles sea salt coconut flakes

Directions
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a microwave-safe bowl, mix together the semi-sweet chocolate chips and shortening.
Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. Repeat this process until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
Holding one end, dip each pretzel rod into the melted chocolate, turning to coat and shaking off the excess.
If using, melt the white chocolate chips in the same manner as above. Drizzle over the chocolate-dipped pretzels for added color and texture.
Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle each pretzel with your chosen toppings.
Let the chocolate pretzels sit at room temperature until the chocolate sets (about 20 minutes), or speed up the process by placing them in the refrigerator.
Once set, you can serve them immediately, or store in an airtight container.
