Directions
Preheat the oven to 325°F (162°C).
In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix well until the mixture resembles wet sand.
Press the crumb mixture firmly into and up the sides of a 9-inch pan using a spoon or glass.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven about 10 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
In a separate mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks.
Add the sweetened condensed milk, lime zest, and lime juice to the beaten egg yolks. Mix well.
Pour the filling mixture into the crust and spread it evenly.
Bake the pie for 15 minutes or until the center is set but still wobbly.
Allow the pie to cool to room temperature or refrigerate overnight to set completely.
In the meantime, prepare the whipped cream. In a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until peaks form.
Once the pie is fully chilled, remove it from the refrigerator and generously spread cream over the top.
Garnish the pie with lime slices and chill for additional 30 minutes.
Serve chilled and enjoy the delightful tangy and creamy Key Lime Pie!
