Without a doubt, stuffed tomatoes are always a vibrant and attractive dish on any holiday menu. This is a recipe I have prepared countless times for the holiday season at my house. Rinse the tomatoes, cut them from the top and empty them carefully so as not to break them. This step is important and should be done delicately. I recommend using a small spoon to facilitate the process.

2. Step

Chop the onion and garlic and sauté them in a frying pan with a little oil. When they are golden brown, add the rice and the pulp of the tomatoes that you have previously emptied. Let cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes. Don't forget, it is essential to stir constantly to prevent the rice from sticking.

3. Step

Add the tuna, chopped olives and chopped parsley to the mixture. Cook for a few more minutes and remove from heat.

4. Step

Stuff the tomatoes with the rice mixture and place them in a baking dish. If there is leftover stuffing, you can add it around the tomatoes, it will give an extra touch of flavor to the preparation.

Bake the stuffed tomatoes for 15 minutes at 180°C. Serve hot.
