  • 180 g self-rising flour Added to
  • 50 g cocoa Added to
  • 115 g butter Added to
  • 90 g sugar Added to
  • 1 pcs yolk Added to
  • 2 tablespoon Strong coffee e.g. espresso Added to

1. Step

In the first bowl, we mix butter, sugar, yolk, coffee and vanilla extract.

2. Step

In the second bowl, combine the sifted flour and cocoa.

3. Step

Mix all ingredients together into a ball shape.

4. Step

Let it stand in the refrigerator for approx. 20 min.

5. Step

Often we divide it into small pieces and “roll” them in our hands first into a ball, then press a little on the sides to create a more oval shape.

6. Step

We place it on a baking sheet (gently press down) and use a skewer to press down through the middle to achieve a resemblance to a coffee bean.

7. Step

Preheat the oven to 165 °C and bake for 10 min.

8. Step

If you make them a bit larger, bake them for a minute or two longer).
