Directions
Take a highball glass and fill it about two-thirds of the way with ice cubes. I always find that using ice made from pure, filtered water can really enhance the taste of your cocktail.
Pour the vodka over the ice. The choice of vodka here can make or break your cocktail. In my experience, using a good quality, smooth vodka always enhances the overall taste of the Harvey Wallbanger. Pour the orange juice into the glass as well.
Stir the vodka and orange juice together gently. Don't rush this step, letting the ingredients mingle will subtlely yet significantly change the taste of the cocktail.
Now, carefully float the Galliano on top. The trick to achieve this is to slowly pour it over the back of a spoon. This not only looks beautiful but also adds to the mystique of the drink's composition.
Finally, garnish it with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry. This not only adds to the overall presentation but also provides a little snack as you enjoy your cocktail.
