Butter Popcorn Movie Night Snack
This butter popcorn recipe is one of my favorite snacks for cozy movie nights at home. It's amazingly easy to prepare and the combination of the salty popcorn and the fine butter is simply divine. I've made this recipe countless times and it always goes down well.
Ingredients
- 100 Gram Popcorn corn
- 50 Gram Good quality butter
- 1⁄2 Teaspoon salt

Directions
Start the butter popcorn recipe by placing a large, heavy pot on the stove and heating it. A tip from my own experience: a pot with a glass lid is particularly practical, as you can watch the popcorn pop.
While the pot is heating, go ahead and heat the butter in a small skillet until it is completely melted and lightly browned.
Add the popcorn kernels and salt to the hot pot. Here it is important that you shake the pot regularly to ensure that all the kernels are heated evenly and do not burn.
As soon as the first kernel pops, place the lid on the pot and reduce the heat slightly. Continue to shake the pot periodically during the popcorn cooking process.
After the popping has subsided, wait an additional minute to make sure all the grains have popped completely. In my experience, waiting a little too long is better than risking still having unpopped grains in the bowl.
Remove the pot from the heat and carefully pour the melted butter over the popcorn. Shake or stir the popcorn to make sure the butter is evenly distributed throughout.
And your homemade butter popcorn is ready. Enjoy this treat still warm!
